Ewa BrzozowskaWhat’s your favorite part of designing, and why do you love it?
Definitely the sketching phase! There’s something magical about that moment when an idea first takes shape—it’s all about freedom, exploration, and a little bit of chaos. I love scribbling, doodling, and letting my imagination run wild. And then, suddenly, the best part happens—out of the mess, the perfect composition starts to appear. That moment excites me every single time! After that, things get more structured, but sketching? That’s pure fun.
Do you have a favorite design that you’ve created? Why does it stand out to you?
I’m sentimental about my designs because they capture moments of my life. I can usually remember exactly where I was and how I felt when I created them. A few stand out: Secret Tiny World because it’s more complex than my usual style, Lullaby Lamb because that little sheep melts my heart every time, and Fluffy Goose because it came out exactly as I imagined—and was inspired by a goose plushie my son picked on vacation, which makes it extra special. My favorites aren’t always bestsellers, but they’re the ones that truly moved me.
How do you celebrate when you finish a big design project?
I’m a total Achiever (Gallup test confirmed it!), so finishing a big project feels amazing—but also makes me eager for the next idea. I always do a little inner happy dance, but I also make sure to take a break, whether it’s a full day or just an afternoon, to reset. To recharge, I dive into my creative hobbies—crocheting, macrame, punch needling, Cricut crafting, or 3D printing. I’ll treat myself to new supplies and enjoy creating something just for fun. It’s the best way to relax and spark fresh inspiration!
